The winter breaks for schools are over and it’s time for the seminars to go on the road. I will be presenting for BER-Bureau of Education and Research- one day training seminars for school librarians, media specialists, library aides and technology specialists.
Join me for learning about the new trends in school libraries this January in the North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. In February, I’ll be presenting in the Northeast states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. March seminars will start at home in Missouri, then up to Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. We will explore more digital tech tools, touch on flexible learning spaces and collaboration, genrefication, diversity, equity and inclusion within the library, new ways to look at digital citizenship, advocating for your library using social media, a big focus on reading literacy and more. Build change into your library program by focusing on the 4 C’s: create, communicate, collaborate, critical thinking plus the librarian’s 5th C – curation with your students and teachers.
